Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at young age of fourteen. After a kickboxing training session, BJJ and wrestling, she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd felt more confident following her win, and she won three fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all during the first round. Ladd returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd won her next fight against Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career as a professional. At InvictaFC 11, she had her first professional bout. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing a 1st-round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move into the Bantamweight division after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her fight via third-round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy as an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round with a TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the final bout for the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina by pounding and grounding her before prevailing by TKO during the second round. Her next fight, against Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd was victorious at the start of round one, and received the Performance of the Night bonus. The first big fight she fought in was with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters fought an intense fight which Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
