Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She is the only person to be recognized with 10/10 scores during an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics teacher who was later Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. She first competed at the national junior championships in Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. Then in the year 1970, she won. At her first international competition in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver at her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first woman to perform a reverse double salo with the bar with a parallel surface when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry during her teenage years performing as a figure skating duo with her sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol's career began in entertainment during her teenage year. Her first professional gig was figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. The shows were ice skating performances that were performed to music from the stage.
